My voucher

If you have just been given a gift voucher for a pet portrait commission from Sophie Ella Fine Art, you are in the right place! I’m so pleased to have this opportunity to create a really beautiful artwork for you and trust it will be something you treasure and enjoy for many years to come.

The first thing to do to get started is to find a suitable reference photo for me to work from. You can have a look at these tips and suggestions for what makes a good reference photo but the main thing is that the photo has lots of lovely detail in it and that your pet is in the the right pose. You can always send me a few options and we can decide together which will work best. You can email me at SophieElla644@gmail.com with any photos as attachments.

The next thing will be to decide what size and type of portrait you would like. You can take a look at my size and price guide to get an idea of the possibilities, or if there is something specific you have in mind just ask. When I know the details of the portrait, I will be able to give you a quote for the artwork. If you let me know the country you want it shipped to, I will also be able to give you an estimate of postage and packaging.

I will then create a digital mock-up of your portrait so you can have an idea of what it will look like. Once you are happy with it, just send me the voucher code, and assuming your voucher covers at least the deposit* (usually 25% of the portrait cost), your place in my commission queue will be secured. I will, at this time, be able to give you a more accurate estimate of when the picture will be completed.

Once I start drawing, you will get updates on my progress, and when it’s finished I’ll send you a digital copy for approval. Once you approve it, and pay any outstanding amount (including postage and packaging), I’ll wrap it up and post the final artwork to you.

If you have recently received your voucher, there is no immediate rush to get started, but do please note the expiry date and be aware that I often have commissions booked up several months in advance. The sooner we finalise the reference photo, and the size and type of your portrait, the sooner your place in my commission queue will be secured and your pet portrait will be complete.

While using the voucher is essentially really simple (it can be used once to pay for some or all of a single commission), do please take a look at my terms and conditions page where I’ve tried to cover most scenarios! Other than that, have a look for some great reference photos, explore my website a bit, and get in touch whenever you are ready to start. I look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes,

Sophie
