The start of my life as a full-time pet portrait artist

Welcome to my blog!

With my A-levels now completed, I was very excited this week to start my career as a full time artist. I've really enjoyed taking commissions over the last few years but now I'm taking the slightly daunting step of devoting all my time to my art business.

I want to thank everyone who has helped, encouraged and commissioned me in the past and hope you'll continue to support me in this new chapter of my life.

It's great to have already got a number of commissions lined up for the next few months and it's going to be a steep learning curve developing the business side of things. As well as pet portraits I love creating some colourful wildlife art so am looking forward to some new animals on my drawing board and exploring the possibility of selling prints.

One of the things I want to do over the course of this next year is blog my experiences as a full-time artist so you can join me in the highs and lows that lie ahead...
