March 2023 Update
I’ve just posted three new blog articles, so I thought I’d introduce them as a sort of summary of some of last months work.
Getting into Google's good-books
In the last few weeks, I have been looking into ways to improve my website so that Google sends more people to it. The first blog article talks about the top 10 things small businesses like mine need to do in order to get into Google’s good-books. It’s not too technical, but hopefully gives a flavour of what goes on behind the scenes to grow my online art business.
Pet Presents
One of the things Google and real life website visitors like, is interesting and informative content. Since pet portraits make such excellent presents, I thought it would be helpful to share some other great gift ideas for pet lovers. In the next two blogs, therefore, I give 10 great present suggestions for cat owners and 10 great present suggestions for dog owners. I’m sure you will find some inspired ideas there for now or the future, so do please take a look.
Affiliate links
I love drawing pet portraits but because it’s a very time consuming process, I’ve been looking into more passive income streams. So far I have become an affiliate of Jackson Art (where I get a lot of my Art supplies and who have always been really helpful to me), Amazon and ArtDiscount. This means that if you purchase any of the presents through my links, they will give me a small percentage which I can put towards buying more art supplies. Actually, I think if you go to Amazon through my links and buy anything, they will give me some sort of bonus. It might not be much, but at this stage of my art business every penny is gratefully received! I've added links to these art sellers on my art materials page and in the footer of my website.
That's it for now. Hope you enjoy the extra content. Thank you so much for continuing to follow along with me in my journey as a full-time pet portrait artist. I really appreciate your interest and support.
Have a great day,
